Family Camp
July
13-20, 2008
This
year Pastor Mark Van Valin will be the guest speaker at
Family Camp. As a pastor at Spring Arbor Free Methodist
Church, Pastor Mark Van Valin with his wife, Linda, enjoys
preaching, teaching, and seeing God work through people to
extend his Kingdom. He was a youth speaker for IYC in 2003.
Each year around the 2nd week
in July, the Free Methodist Churches in Maryland and
Virginia host camp meeting at the Peach Orchard Christian
Retreat Facility. For over 75 years families have attended
camp meeting for a time of fun, family, and spiritual
renewal. Many of our buildings although historic are still
being used for dining, evening church services, and
overnight lodging. The Dining Hall is centrally located for
easy access to the Retreat Facility and Tabernacle areas.
Three meals a day are cooked and served in the Dining Hall.
Our Open Air Tabernacle is located in the center of our
horseshoe shaped campground, and each evening Family Worship
is held. All of our camps (Family, Youth and Kidz) are open
to the community.
During the
day, besides Kidz and Youth camps, Adult classes are held
in the Retreat Center. There are Bible, and Mission's
classes along with morning and afternoon prayer times.
If you would like to register for Adult Classes just
click this link, print the form and mail it to us with the
fees for areas of participation. Each evening Family Worship
is held at 7:00pm with great speakers and fantastic Worship
Music.

up their 3-4 year olds immediately following lunch.
Kindergarteners then join the 1st-4th graders for afternoon

K-4th graders have a full day
at camp starting at 9am with morning Chapel, Bible stories,
hand chimes and object lessons. After lunch, Monday thru
Thursday, our 5th and 6th graders leave for their "off
